Brisbane Pain Specialists provides expert, evidence-based care for complex pain conditions, combining advanced interventional techniques, modern diagnostic tools, and a personalised whole-patient approach.
Led by Dr Sami Ahmad, the clinic provides evidence-based, patient-centred care for people experiencing persistent pain conditions. Our focus is to help patients better understand the cause of their pain and to develop personalised treatment plans that improve comfort, function, and quality of life.
At Brisbane Pain Specialists, care is tailored to each individual. Dr Ahmad utilises both interventional and non-interventional pain management strategies, supported by modern diagnostic techniques such as Point-of-Care Ultrasound, to help accurately identify pain sources and guide treatment where appropriate.

Dr Ahmad completed his Fellowship in Pain Medicine at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. He holds:

In 2019, Dr Ahmad was awarded the Ulf Lindblom Prize for achieving the highest mark in the European Diploma in Pain Medicine (EDPM), conducted by the European Pain Federation (EFIC). He is also a Fellow of Interventional Pain Practice (FIPP) through the World Institute of Pain, reflecting his expertise in advanced interventional pain management techniques.
Dr Ahmad is proficient in both interventional and non-interventional pain management approaches and utilises diagnostic tools such as Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) where clinically appropriate.
