Your First Visit

New Patient Information Form
Your initial consultation will involve a detailed assessment of your pain condition. Dr Ahmad will:

review your medical history

discuss previous treatments and investigations

examine the affected area

review any imaging or test results
Following the assessment, Dr Ahmad will discuss possible diagnoses and recommend a personalised treatment plan.
Appointments typically take longer than standard consultations to ensure a thorough evaluation.
To assist with your consultation, patients are asked to complete the New Patient Information Form prior to their appointment.
This form collects important information including:
Medical history
Current medications
Previous procedures or treatments
Pain history
Functional impact assessment
Consent acknowledgment
Completing this form in advance helps ensure your consultation is as efficient and comprehensive as possible.

Fees and Payment

Patient Referral
Consultation Fees
Brisbane Pain Specialists is a private specialist medical practice.
Fees apply for consultations and procedures. Consultation fees may vary depending on the type and length of appointment.
Patients will be advised of applicable fees at the time of booking where possible.
Medicare Rebates
Patients with a valid referral from a General Practitioner or Specialist Medical Practitioner may be eligible for a Medicare rebate for consultations with a specialist pain medicine physician.
Medicare rebates are determined by the Australian Government and may not cover the full cost of the consultation.
Any difference between the consultation fee and the Medicare rebate is payable by the patient.
Brisbane Pain Specialists operates as a specialist referral practice. A valid referral from a General Practitioner or medical specialist is required prior to booking a consultation.
